Meetings to Explore Bike Sharing in Memphis Start Thursday

Fewer people driving cars, more people riding bikes.

That’s the sentiment behind bike share programs in more than 300 cities worldwide.

Doug Carpenter of Doug Carpenter & Associates LLC is spearheading the effort to start a bike share program in Memphis.

To that end, a series of community input sessions will be held starting with a 6:30 p.m. meeting Thursday, June 4, at Revolutions Bicycle Co-Op, in the First Congregational Church at 1000 S. Cooper St. in Cooper-Young.
